       Howdy!

Welcome to the Consortium for Autonomous Space Systems.  This project is funded by Air Force Research Laboratory and run through Aerospace Engineering Department at Texas A&M University,  Center for Space Research at the University of Texas, Honeywell, Sandia, Star Vision Technologies, and Aeolus.

We focus on the following five major thrusts: 

  • Smart Sensing Technologies
  • Satellite Design
  • Satellite Constellation and Formation Analysis
  • Autonomous Control Methods
  • Precision Navigation and Orbit Determination

Currently, we are developing an autonomous mobile robotic system to emulate six degree of freedom relative spacecraft motion during proximity operations.
